Tyroma Rigsby owns Lebanon Health Care Center, which provides primary care services as well as some aesthetic services like Botox and fillers.

Rigsby, a nurse practitioner, said the best part of her career is that God has aligned it to help others every day.

“My patients are my extended family. We laugh together, cry together, celebrate together and even pray together,” she said.

Rigsby was raised in Smithville. She started her undergraduate studies at Middle Tennessee State University and transferred to finish her doctorate of chiropractic and biology degree from Life University.

At age 30, she decided on a career change and went to Cumberland University’s school of nursing to become a registered nurse.

“A year later I finished Vanderbilt with my nurse practitioner degree,” she said.

Rigsby has been married to husband, David, for 17 years. They have five children: Hayden, 16; Bella, 14; Eden, 12; Karsen, 10; and Farrah, 8.

“With a family of seven there isn’t much time for hobbies, so my children’s hobbies have become my own. I love Friday night lights at Lebanon High School and Winfree Bryant watching my three oldest children play football and cheer,” she said. “My two youngest play basketball and tumble.”

Rigsby is a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. In the past she has taught Awanas.

“When I do find time for myself I love to travel,” she explained. “I will be making my third trip to Israel at the end of October.”

The woman she admires most is her “Aunt Poly” Mildred Suffridge.

“She helped raise me from birth and made a promise to God to keep me in church all my life and she has. She is the most giving and unselfish person I know and she taught me how to be a wife, mother and Christian woman by example. She is in her 80's now still going strong and sharing her gifts with others.”
